Thirty people including police forensics officers have been arrested in Macedonia on charges of faking car accidents to claim insurance payouts, law-enforcement officials in the Balkan country said on Wednesday. Of the 57 charged in the case, 13 are serving police officers and four are retired officers. So far 30 have been taken into custody in an operation codenamed "Wiper". A South Korean coastguard was stabbed to death by the Chinese captain on Monday in an operation to apprehend the Chinese vessel operating illegally near South Korean waters, a South Korean official said.
